It's been finished for over a week, but I'm a little swamped here (evidence the 85 emails I'm working my way through in my Inbox) so I'm just getting around to posting this:

Yay! I'm finally done! That shit kicked my ass! Seriously, who's idea what this anyway?

Obligatory full layout shot. We all know it's the perfectionists who are the procrastinators, right? Because they're afraid of not being able to do it PERFECTLY so they delay beginning things? Let's say that's what I am although this is far from perfect. It sounds better than Professional Slacker.

And my second half, note the DNA, a bit of hair from when I got my Betty Page/Emily Strange bangs. Hey, I think I did pretty good considering I was going to put in whatever I could from a tattoo I was going to get. Talk about DNA THEN!

Ok, so I kinda sorta received The Journal a couple weekends ago. But I have a really good reason for putting it off! I swear!

I have a major event coming up this weekend (I though it would be sooner but I'm also a broke slacker) that I wanted to use for my personal scrap so it WILL be done this weekend.

Or at least... a serious attempt will be made.

No! It will be done!

Do I get special slacker privileges for being a founding member?

Annie has finished up her pages despite a sick baby, a sore throat, and a (super-sorry-to-have-missed-it) backyard BBQ.

And I got word yesterday that Brooke has the Traveling Journal!

Brooke, you and the Beanie take your time and have fun! Just do your thing.

The California Tour Continues

I realize I'm over my time limit. I apologize. I am claiming a sick toddler who began waking up 7 times a night again for a week. But I'm finally done and here they are:

I also made a page for the meeting between Betty and I. Hey Betty, I left you space to write too! Now you need to do two and a half pages! Muaahahaha!!

I had a wonderful time working on this. My pages aren't really as pretty as the others, but I'm fairly happy with them. Next time, I'm going to do my pages at Brenda's house and make her help me. Tomorrow, the book is off to Brooke and the Beanie!

Everyone, I'd like you to meet Gary and Ericka. You may have noticed Gary loitering for the last month or so over there in the List of Linkety Goodness. He is a Real Life Friend of Betty, thereby making him guilty by association of Crazy (but in a good way).

Ericka stumbled upon Cartwheels this week while clicking that super fun/scary "Next Blog" button in the top righthand corner. She is the Mom of a super-beautious couple of girlies and though her Blog is bare-baby-butt-new, I can already tell she's a fun one to have around.

Blog Spawn Leaving Japan...

I'm finished. Wow, that was hard! I feel very comfortable on the keyboard, but I felt like a kindergartener with the journal! Go ahead and snicker at my pitiful printing...hard to believe I'm a designer for a living, isn't it?

Paige, I had to cut a page out. I did a watercolor, and it bled through. So I tried to replicate it with colored pencils. No bleed through, but oh-my-God-get-that-girl-an-art-class! (Click on the images for bigger pictures, and you'll see what I mean. Aaaaah!)

But even though I'm embarrassed by my journal post, I had fun doing it, too. (Yes, where it says "Take One!" those are Hello Kitty post-it notes!) I can't wait to see what's next! Paige, where am I sending it, please?

p.s.--I have no small photo of me, and my printer is on the fritz! If I can get one printed, I will send it to BrandiPaige to stick somewhere on my post.
